Content of the maps

The entries on the maps come from the parents of the respective group and are not checked by us. If you see an entry that doesn’t belong there, please send us an e-mail.

Availability and liability

Kids Nearby is a free, privately run service. We try to keep it running reliably, but we do not guarantee any particular availability and may change or discontinue the service at any time. The maps are not a place to keep data: entries can be lost, for example through technical faults, because someone in the group deletes them or because unused groups are deleted automatically. The routes shown are computed automatically and are not checked by us; whether a route is safe and suitable for a child is for the parents alone to decide.

We are liable only for intent and gross negligence. This does not affect liability for injury to life, body or health, or liability under mandatory law, for example data protection law.

Map tiles: data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL), tiles CC BY-SA 2.0, provided by openstreetmap.de (FOSSGIS e. V.). Something wrong on the map? Report it here. Routes via the Google Routes API (Google Ireland Ltd.), in the demo via Valhalla (FOSSGIS e. V.). Place search when creating a group via Photon (komoot GmbH), with Google Places (Google Ireland Ltd.) as fallback. Map library Leaflet (BSD-2-Clause), fonts Outfit and Fredoka (SIL Open Font License), both served from our own server.
